How To Cancel YTB Booking Engine and Travel Portal Account

If you feel that you have been scammed by YTB, the best and most effective way to cancel your website services is to log in to the Back Office and file a support ticket. This way you can see the status of your ticket in real-time. In most cases, the support ticket should be resolved within 24 hours and the ticket status should read "Closed" once your website has been deactivated. This is your confirmation that your membership has been canceled and all future payments ($50/month) will be stopped. Unfortunately, any fees or payments you have paid up until now (including the $500 initial fee) will not be recovered.

I've been able to successfully cancel a YTB account for someone I know. Follow the procedure below to cancel the booking engine and travel portal. It should be relatively easy and painless. But if you get stuck for any reason, call 618.655.9520 for YTB customer service and they should be able to help you.

Step-by-Step Cancellation Instructions:

1. Login to your YTB portal at www.ytb.com/(your_username).
2. Press the Login button on the upper right hand corner of the screen. This will bring you to the Back Office login screen.
3. Type in your username and password to get access to the YTB Back Office main screen.
4. Select Customer Support on the far left panel under "My YTB."
5. Scroll down the screen and press "Open a new ticket."
6. On the Category pull-down menu, select "Website-Cancellation."
7. On the Topic pull-down menu, select "Per Customer's Request."
8. For the main description area, type in the following: "Please deactivate booking engine and travel portal." Press Submit button and you're done!
9. Check back within 24 hours and verify that the ticket has been resolved and closed.

  2. I don't know how or why, but somehow YTB has my information (I have never wanted or signed up for YTB) and is giving it out to other people/companies. I get phone calls a couple times a week asking if I need help with my business. What the ****? Do you have any ideas how I would go about getting this to stop? I can't find a customer service number anywhere, and I have emailed just about every address I can find. HELP!!!
